District 25 has become unsafe for residents. Addressing rising crime rates is a complex issue that requires increasing the state budget to hire more police officers, allocating funds for crime prevention programs, and encouraging community-oriented policing strategies that foster positive relationships between law enforcement and residents.
CREATING JOBS
Develop favorable conditions for startups to large corporations, growing their businesses alongside creating jobs for residents. Encourage corporations to create internship opportunities for students.
EDUCATION
Work with school districts and commissioners to hire more staffs in the school districts. Create more hands-on classes and summer learning programs for students. Create more work-study for students.
HEATHCARE
Create health insurance programs for all families at affordable prices consistent with a family’s income.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Propose state and city governments to have a preferential tax policy and favorable conditions for investors, home builders, and lenders to build more affordable housing.
REDUCING HOMELESSNESS
Increase the state budget for San Jose city to build more housing and hire more caseworkers to assist the homeless.
IMPROVING INFRASTRUCTURE
Repair damaged roads, potholes, and expand roads. Build more bridges, roads, neighborhood parks, and outdoor exercise areas.
HELPING WOMEN and SMALL BUSINESSES
Create additional programs to assist women and small businesses as well as low-interest loans.
HELPING SENIORS
Develop the communities for the elderly to participate in recreational activities. Create welcoming environments and encourage the younger generation to interact with the older generations.
REDUCING AUTO INSURANCE PREMIUMS
Auto insurance premiums are at an all-time high and many insurance companies no longer operate in the state of California or hike premium to survive. To resolve this issue, the state government should coordinate with the federal government to create favorable conditions to encourage insurance companies
to return to California.
